Definitely not a 8709 classic, but this was a sure-fire way to get us kids to be quiet for an hour and half on any given day. Disney's telling of the rogue hero of Sherwood Forest was one of my favorites growing up. Even the most complicated stories of society mores can be lightened with talking animals. Poverty? Crime? Politics? Just add a singing rooster.
