Reminisce

Channel Surfin' | Mo-2-tha, E-2-tha

You know ya'll dug this right here, right until it was banished to UPN. But I digress. Moesha chronicled the life and times of a California teen whose time focused on friends, family, boys, and drama. But Mo' was quite a character: independent, intelligent, and goal-driven, except when it came to boys. Everyone remembers the trails with Fredro Starr's Q, and then Usher at the pajama/slumber party. And all hell broke loose once Dorian (Ray J) showed up as the nephew/brother; and that's when I left. But before the dramatics got too intense, the show was hilarious. Countess Vaughn earned her own show as the bubbly ghetto Kim Parker. And give credit where it is due to the late Lamont Bentley as the "best male friend" Hakeem.

New New | "So Damn Down" Tanya Morgan

My bad for just watching this vid. Tanya Morgan's "So Damn Good." Self-explanatory. Shout to Blind I.

'97 | Boo Yow

Critics may hark on Ms. Berry's role in the urban classic BAPS, but I loved her ability to bring out her inner hood chick. The rags to riches tale boasted great laughs and a great story of friendship. Plus the love theme from Kai is too 90s. I'll be lovin yooouu, forever. Classic.

? | Has Jamie Foxx peaked?!?!? Pt. 2

|
I figured I'd track any appearances/news on Mr. Foxx until his official BET gig. Here he is on O'Brien last night with *surprise, surprise* Drake on the remix verse. Wasn't too impressed with the performance. Especially the line about your tail in this kitchen? You tell me. Shout to Nah Right.

'02 | Get your big head on the floor

Girl, Interrupted was the debut album for Philly's Ms. Jade on Tim's then Beat Club label. Beat was sick and the vid reminiscent of supa dupa Missy. It's one of my favs.
