SOS | Boy you make me float

Been a while since I posted a Song of Summer. Chose this after popping the disc in last night after work. Coldest summer.

SOS | This is for you, and you, and definitely you

Montell was a g. Single from This Is How We Do It.

SOS | When i get you alone x wanna luv u girl

SOSx2:

Many may not remember Thicke's only single from Cherry Blue Skies way back when. Some may not even recognize the now blue eye soul champion as Robin Thicke either (just loose the lochs). Nonetheless, this song was great. The 5th's sample gives it a life great for a summer day. The second is probably more familiar as it was the first single off of The Evolution of Robin Thicke. Hype is a beast.

SOS | Anyone can make you sweat...

New Kids on the Block were history by the time TRL came around. That's when Jordan Knight took flight for a solo career with the 2-step/pop jam, "Give it to U." Song was addictive. Dancing is sick. Just noticed this was a interpretation of Grease's final scene. Knight pulled it off a lot better than these two.

SOS | Where they at?

It's Memorial Day aka Decoration Day aka a day off. Take a load off and enjoy the extended weekend.

SOS | You ready?

Speaking of that Rich sound....

Song of that summer; of that year. You could not escape the "Uh-Oh" anywhere.

SOS | Onnn and Onnn and Onnnnnn

It's Friday. The weather's nice. Enjoy.

SOS | Pump It Up

Fire. Still bang this. I guess I should check out "Padded Room."

SOS | You're hotter than a summer day in California

Perfect track for a summer jam. The original is dope, but this bumps for the jeeps. Remember when those were the rides to have; with the no doors.

SOS | I like girls that wear Abercrombie and Fitch

Placed A&F on the map. Looking back, this sounds like something a guy would spit for his girl on their 3-month anniversary. LFO's biggest hit.

SOS | Summer Breeze

Originally a 70s soft-rock hit, "Summer Breeze" has seen its share of covers. None other is more prominent than the Isley Brother's sensual take.

Bonus: Tisdale's version

SOS | All I wanna do.....

Need I say more.Teddy Riley is a beast.

SOS | Southern Girl

Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. The rhythms sound as if they escaped the sun's hot surface to shine directly on your eardrums. Will always remind me of summer, especially after being associated with this imagery.

SOS | Drums please!

You knew it was coming? You can't enjoy summer without blaring this at the family reunion.

SOS | Songs of Summer

School's out; temperatures are rising; and both basketball and baseball are in full-swing. Could only mean one thing. Summer is upon us. My favorite time of year. Better than nice weather is the music that highlights the moments of June, July and August. They'll bump from car speakers and stay on your mind once winter's cold comes through. Let's prepare for 'hot fun in the summertime' with a 87|09 summer special : SOS. Classic. Appeared on Kool and the Gang's Light of Worlds, '74. Backdrop to 90s summer anthem.
