PBP | Game Over
"He's tryin to get back to the only career he knows; playing football."
That's the problem. Kids, always have a backup plan, like a degree in something else than makin it rain." Click pic for full story courtesy of ESPN. Not only do we have hip-hop interfering in the black male image to progress, but our athletes have to fall victim to the same money, money, money culture that produces nothing valuable for themselves or our community.
'09 | NBA: Top 10 Play of 2009 Season
#9 is the T.
#1 is straight propaganda.
?uestion: Where is the love for the best series of the finals, Chicago v Boston.
411 | SLAM! duh duh duh
Will the real LeBron James please stand up? The one who was suppose to be the second coming of Michael Jordan and rearrange the way basketball was played. The young court prodigy fresh our of Akron whose only goal was to win a championship. Not the one who has recently become the brunt of jokes. Not the one whose championship-on-a-platter dreams were deferred. Not the one subjected to this:
Hopefully Shaq can grant James three wishes and bring a ring and his dignity back to Cleveland next season. KAZAAM!
411 | Game 2 : Lakers 2-0
Lakers win Game 2 in OT. Much better effort by the Magic-less, but not enough. Maybe in Orlando they'll show up. That's it. Enjoy the latest Nike: LeBron vs. _____ commercial ft. Lil Dez.
Nike's gonna hustle to use each inch of that money spent. We'll be seeing LeBron vs. Candace Parker commercials.
411 | Game 2
A must win for Howard and the Magic. Or at least a close loss because that first game was too boring to watch:
411 | In 30 Minutes....

Coverage begins. Battle commences @ 9. Its been a great journey (Boston/Bulls series still takes the cake), and now we will see if Kobe covets the victory and respect; or, if the Magic can make history with the franchise's first NBA Championship.
Where am I; front & center.....at a computer screen scanning med recs at my summer job.
*smh* Amazing indeed.
UPDATE : Lakers lead 1-0
411 | Orlando upsets the universe
I called it.
MVP.
Coach of the Year.
Going home.
Final-less.
And he just walks off the court, without any acknowledgment to the Magic. Childish.
411 | Like there was any doubt
Kobe and the Lakers finished the deal in Denver (on the road Orlando) to proceed to a 30th franchise NBA finals. Another championship would be the team's fifteenth. And by the look of things, I'd say they will covet that trophy. Unless fate falls in Cleveland's favor. Details
411 | Orlando vs. Cleveland Game 5
UPDATE | They'll get 'em in Orlando.
As a lover of the arts I'm a sucker for irony. Whether it coincidental or intentional there is something Shakesperean about life's little way of saying "F you." The one day you forget your umbrella, it rains. You wear a sweater because it's always cold at the office; and, now the thermostat reads 73 degrees. The entire populace believes the robots are a great help, while the lone objector is defined as a lunatic . Don't worry. I'm not lonely, just alone. I've never been a Magic or Cavs fan (Let's face it - who were Cavs fans until now) but, I love an underdog. And as much as a LeBron-less finale would be disappointing, it'd so be worh it. Bonus points for the Nuggets to dismantle the Lake Show, but I see that as highly unlikely. (I'm a lunatic, not suicidal.)
411 | Upset Upset Upset Upset
The Orlando Magic survived a win in overtime, 116-114, over LeBron and the Cavs. Apparently Mr. James' buzzer beater was a no show tonight as he missed the winning 3-point shot. This sets Magic up 3-1, and makes everyone expecting a Kobe/LeBron final....uncomfortable.
Highlights via ESPN
SICK | Bounce pass
I missed Game 2 of the Lakers vs. Nuggets series. (I work second shift; only reason) Hadn't seen all the highlights, but his pretty much sums it all up.

411 | Wayman Tisdale
Former NBA star and jazz musician Wayman Tisdale passed away after a two-year bout with cancer. Tisdale played for Oklahoma before his 12-year career in the NBA, playing for the Indiana Pacers Sacrmento Kings, and Pheonix Suns. I think I'm too young to remember him on the court, but his album In the Zone stayed in rotation growing up.
411 | MVP
The votes have spoken. LeBron James has been selected as NBA's 2009 Most Valuable Player. Kobe Bryant and Dwayne Wade followed. He has definitely fulfilled the hype expectations discussed since his initiation. Much respect, because I know I can't play a lick of anybody's basketball.
