Reminisce

'88 | Let me take you to a place I know you wanna go

Inner City with "The Good Life" which I never heard until '97 in Beverly Hills. Still love the track.

'90 | Everybody Everybody

I think we had this single along with "Strike It Up." From Black Box's Dreamland. I'm pretty sure the video model couldn't sing a lick. That is actually Martha Wash of The Weather Girls fame. They pulled this stunt as well as C+C Music Factory.

'89 | Make my day

Technotronic's undeniable party starter. From the club to Space Jam, this song echos "dance" with each pumping rhythm.

'90 | I'm the lyrical Jesse James

Snap's club banger from World Power. Classic tune during hip-hop/R&B's freestyle pop era. We'll revisit other similar classics.

411 | President speaks on U.S. relation with Muslims

Obama just wrapped up a speech addressing the future relations between America and the Muslim world in Cairo, Egypt. One half history lesson, one half initiation of a 'new beginning,' Obama seeks to establish a dialogue in preparation to eventually lessen the violence and animosity betwixt both parties. (like that vocab huh?) More here.

'93 | That's What I....Neeeed

Sisters With Voices singing live @ unknown live performance. Coko knows she can blow!!!! Classic.

P School | Darkness all around...

It's funny how I first heard this song. Gladys Knight and the Pips made great music. Imagination

'93 | We're Back: A Dinosaur Story

Let's see, an animated classic of the 90s that wasn't a Disney production....not too many. But this hilarious and touching story of friendship and family boasted a great cast and stayed rewound in the VCR. Can't remember the full synopsis, but a group of dinosaurs are made civilized only to be tricked into being exploited for a evil doctor's circus.

'01 | Don't stop, we ain't gotta stop

Memories. This was the cut in seventh grade. Neo-Soul duo's only hit, "After Party." Had a old school feel to it.

8709 Special | NEW NEW

What all you Wale stans have been waiting for....Attention: Deficit's first single "Chillin" by Mr. Never-Wear-the-Same-Thing ft. Lady GaGa. Thanks you know who you are.

8709 Special | The Kelly/Mr. Biggs Saga

Before being captive in closets and evading taxes, Robert Kelly and Ronald Isley used their talents for a better good. I bring to you the Kelly/Biggs Saga. A tale of betrayal, lust, and jealousy took the music world by storm at two different times in history. The stage is set in "Down Low (Nobody Has to Know) and id continued in the epic "Contagious." Enjoy 90kds.

New New | Paranoid aka final

Kanye's super official "Paranoid" video starring Rihanna. Does seem more complete, full. Props to RealTalk NY.

'92 | Understand girl that my heart is in your hands

Nice mellow-love song from the fellas of Shai. Isn't that Ananda Lewis? ...If Ever Fall in Love when music videos depicted real scenarios. Boy, girl, music. That's it.

411 | Black In America 2

CNN's ground-breaking investigative report returns to answer the question: Now that we see what hinders us, what are we doing about it. Soledad O'Brien hosts Black in America 2 in efforts to showcase how African-Americans across the nation are improving the status of black life. The first special was quite informative and revealed truths from behind myhts and legends of living in this skin I we're in. These may not have been new to us, but just like Roots did inthe 70s, it allowed the opportunity for dialogue with others outside of our commmunities. Be sure to mark your calendars and set the DVRs for July 22nd & 23rd. This is history in the making. Bonus: Stay tuned for Latino In America in October.

'04 | If my manager insults me again

Never-before released video for Kanye's "Spaceship" from The College Dropout. Features GLC and Consequence. Song had always been a classic, and the video is great, even four years later. Ye's a beast. Thanks to GLC!
